I just got a habit reminder put in my mouth, how long to get used to it?

i have braces and this is to fix a tongue thrust. my speech is really messed up with this thing, will it ever get better.

Not got braces but have denture plate.....speech was messed up for about week and half....now no probs. Read the newspaper or any kind of print aloud to get you used to talking again. Good luck.
