What colors braces are best?!

Question: I am getting braces in like 2 weeks and I am wondering what colors to get. I have very fair skin which makes my teeth look yellowish so preferablly something that would not make that any worse. Thanks. And if you have had braces how much did they hurt?

Maybe you could try blue rubber bands. They might look okay w/ your skin tone.

I had braces before and it took some getting used to. You may have some tenderness in the mouth in the beginning, but eventually you will get used to them. Be careful not to eat chewy or crunchy foods because you could break the ligament wire and have to take an emergency trip to the dentist!

Anyways, I can tell you that braces are definitely worth it, because even today I get compliments on my smile.

they do not hurt too bad, the pain is bareable, as for what colors look best, bright colors look good, avoid yellow, clear, whtie etc. gray makes the braces seem less noticeable

I got "baby pink" (as my ortho calls them) and in pictures it doesnt look like i have them as much as with bright colors. Do not get red!!! they are SOO noticable!

i used to get colors, but towards the end i got whitish/clearish elastics cause they're not as noticeable. But i think you have to get this certain color elastics, and not just plain clear, because the plain clear color can turn yellow from food. And they only hurt the first few days, after that you get used to them.

Well get the dark colors! When you get light colors, the colors will fade away and not be noticable. So if you want colors to stand out get dark colors. When I got braces when putting them on they didn't hurt it is just they make your teeth real sore. Try not to eat gum or hard stuff when they put them on. Also if they start feeling like they are poking you the orthodontist will get you some wax. Another thing, have a tub of ice cream or something because it is cold it will help. Pain relievers also, DO NOT WORK! If they say to take some pain reliever it doesn't work so just use like Orajel or drink something cold like an ICEE.
