What should my daughter expect when she has her braces removed on Monday?!
Question: to get really wet...LOL when i had mine removed they had this water thing squirting all over me!...it was annoying...and they do scrape the glue off your teeth with a little drill..and buff them down...and thats about it...it doesnt hurt at all...

Well i have braces and i am going to get them off soon ....but i have heard that it can be pretty painful... but for other people it does not bother them... so it just depends on the person...

When mine were removed my mouth felt SOO weird. Like something was missing! I had them for 2 years. I don't remember them hurting but I was always breaking off brackets any way. But that was 15 years ago. So I don't remember that much about them coming off.
It should not be uncomfortable. The will remove everything and slightly grind the cement off. It will feel very dirty when they get done. She will want to brush her teeth non stop for a while. You should get a regular dental checkup as soon as possible so they can make sure no cavities developed under the braces. And, you may want to invest in some crest whitestrips to even out the staining that occured on the teeth but not where the brackets were cemented. A fluoride rinse daily is a good idea to help strenthen the enamel back up from being weakened by the braces and prevent sensitivity while doing the whitestrips.
well she should have straiter teeth. but if she did not take care of them like she should have( not saying she did not) she may be surprised to have a line of toothe decay where her braces were.
