Vicodin is a very mild pain reliever which also has a dose of maximum strength tylenol included in it. With your fear of repeating what your dad went through you would be condidered at the "lowest" risk for addiction. Go ahead and use it if you are still in a lot of pain. If enough time has pased and the pain is gone then you can take whatever vicodin is left over back to the pharmacy to be destroyed. (Or just flush it).

you are not your dad. vicodin is a prescription pain killer, and it will help the pain. if you don't have pain, don't take it, if you do have pain use it. It is safe to use when taken as prescribed, so control yourself and don't use it when you don't have pain.

Ibuprofen is way more effective for dental pain than opiods. If the ibuprofen isn't working and the dentist prescribed a narcotic painkiller, take it. You will only develop an addiction if you continue to take the painkiller when you don't have pain.

Prescription strenght ibuprofen is 600mg. Most regular strength over the counter ibuprofen comes in 200mg tablets. IF you're really too frightened to take prescription meds, at least ensure you are getting enough ibuprofen into your system to actually help with pain control...

You're not your dad. Think about it. Do you really want to get rid of this pain? Its a very commonly perscribed pill. I was perscribed it as well when I had my teeth taken out. You'll be fine as long as you don't abuse it. Trust me, it really works for the pain. And as long as you're taking the recommended dose, then the side effects should only be reduced/eliminated pain. And if you ask me, thats good.

ibuprofen is the best kind of pain killer for toothache like pains. it is totally safe provided you dont have stomach or chest conditions. its not usually addictive, and taking it for a day or two wont do any harm. you might find you dont need a painkiller, usually a warm salty mouthwash and keeping the socket clean will be enough. follow the instructions they give you after having the teeth removed and you will be fine!

Vicodin will deff. help with the pain. Just make sure that you follow the directions and take as your dr reccomended. If you are really afraid that you could become addicted to the meds then dont take them. You are only as strong as you allow yourself to be.

For wisdom teeth extraction, Vicodin is the most common pain killer prescribed. Take it when you have pain, and when the pain stops, you stop taking the medicine. As long as you take it properly, you won't get addicted.
