Which method you use will really depend on your particular malalignment and if your orthodontist and Invisalign consider you to be a candidate for their tray system. You may need more correction than Invisalign can do for you.
I think both Invisalign and Rapid are basically the same type system for orthodontics. Both work equally well and the tray system is an excellent choice for ortho treatment with advantages, that to some, may far outweigh the use of the traditional method of ortho. It will really depend on the difficulty of your treatment. I've seen some patients do very well with this system, just as I have with others who use the traditional method.
As for time involved, it really depends on your teeth, bone structure, how much movement is needed to correct your alignment, your bite, as well as straighten the teeth and your corporation with treatment.
These are questions that your dentist or orthodontist can answer for you in great detail. First find out if you "can" use this method of orthodontics or if you will have to use the traditional method. All of these methods will give you the desired dental results; a perfect and beautiful smile.
