Impacted tooth?!

Question:

Impacted tooth?

so apparently, i have a tooth sitting on top of another, it shoots a rough pain throw my gum when i bite down, but the tooth on top is fine. there's probably another tooth under it making the gum sensitive...will that tooth just eventually push out the one on top?

Answers:

Well this depends on where the current tooth is located. If this is a wisdom tooth it is possibly impacted. Wisdom teeth also grow in at angles that often are not in the correct position to match with other teeth. If you are experiencing any kind of tooth pain, you should see your dentist. Until then, follow the directions for taking Tylenol, Advil, or Aleeve to relieve the pain. Watch for signs and symptoms of infection including gum redness, increased pain, or pus at the site of the new tooth. I wish you well.
