Cut between my teeth???!

Cut between my teeth???

I have an awful pain between two of my teeth that I believe is some sort of cut. It has been hurting for a few months, it doesn't seem to heal. Every time I eat something and it touches the cut, it hurts extremely bad and bleeds.
How can I heal this cut, if that's what it is? It's really painfull.
I have tried using baking soda toothpaste for a month and it doesn't seem to heal.

Also, I think the cut happened as I was wearing my retainer, so I stopped wearing it for now.

Jessie- I will be contacting yahoo and reporting your ignorance. I am a married woman, and that is not a reasonable answer.
Yahoo is for the public to answer questions. If you had such an ignorant answer, why even waste your time answering???

Why haven't you called your Othodontist on this matter ? It has been awhile so maybe it isn't a cut and you could have a piece of food caught down inside between the gum and tooth. This will hurt and cause throbbing pain.
