Another wisdom teeth question? please help.?!

Question: this is long, but i'd really appreciate it if you could see if you know what's wrong with my teeth :/

okay, so my question is, do all your wisdome teeth have to grow in at the same time? i'm not even sure if it is my wisdom teeth. this is how it is... on the very back tooth of the bottom-right side of my mouth, my gums are very swollen, my gums around the tooth are connecting to the inside of my cheek. it's like my gum is starting to cover my cheek. it's hurts so bad , especially when i swallow.

do you know what this could be? i'm sixteen, is that too yooung for wisdom teeth?
i'm so afraid to get them pulled.
i also wanted to know if they could put me to sleep because i am diabetic and what happens if my blood goes low while i'm under?

i very much appreciate you taking time to read this. thanks so much. :)

Your wisdom teeth can come through the gums at different times and from the age of 16 onwards. The swelling you described sounds like one trying to make an appearance. Not everyone has enough room in their jaw for them to come through completely so you can get re-occurring pain and swelling. In the meantime do some vigorous warm salt water mouth rinses, take panadol or nurofen whatever you can with your diabeties (check with your Doctor) and schedule an appointment with your dentist for x-rays to determine whether there is enough room in your mouth for them. Then a decision can be made as to whether it needs to be removed or not. There are a number of ways to make the process more comfortable for you. Taking medication before you arrive for your appointment, under general anaesthetic or by sedation which does not put you to sleep but allows to to relax throughout the process. Visit your dentist and discuss the different options available to you.

Sounds like wisdom teeth to me. i've had all of my removed. one side when I was about 18 and the other side when I was about 24. so no they do not come in at the same time and 16 is not to young. Mine started stopped, started-stopped, so it may end and it may not, but if its bothering you you probably will need them removed. Have your mom/dad schedule you an appt. Get an x-ray and the dentist can tell you if its coming in wrong and if it needs to be removed.

I decided to the the right and left sides at separate times, b/c i didn't want to have to go through it all at once. I wanted to be able to eat on at least one side of my mouth.

I also was deathly afraid of having mine pulled, as they had to cut the lower ones out, so i went under both times. not sure of the complications you may have due to your diabetes.

Hope this helps

your wisdom teeth can grow in a different times. when mine came in, I had the same swollen/sore gums, and I didn't know what was causing it. turns out, they had come in almost all the way.
the good news about that: very easy to have them removed. also less expensive.
at 16, it may very well be your wisdom teeth.
it's really not a scary as you might expect.
just make sure you tell your dentist you're a diabetic and it should be fine!

Wisdom teeth don't all come in at once.

You may have an impacted wisdom tooth, where it grows sideways.
Best to see your dentist to get it checked.
Most wisdom teeth extractions are done in hospital with the utmost care. I'm sure your diabetes will be kept in-check while you're under.
