Question: this summer im getting my wisdom teeth out and i well i am going to b freaking out while their taking them out bcuz they dont put u under so how can i cope with this fear,any suggestsions??

The first thing to do is find a dentist that will put you under.
If you are that afraid to have dental treatment I don't think that having wisdom extractions is something that you should do without being put under.
You should talk to your dentist about your fears and see what his recommendations are.
There are things that they can give you to relax you... nitrous oxide, sedatives, or intravenous sedation. This is done in addition to the old local anesthetics.
Also, if they are not planning on putting you "out" they can only do two teeth at a time... usually the upper and lower on one side. If they put you out then they can do all four and Your Done!
Either way, discuss your fears with your dentist.

Usually they'll give you something first, like laughing gas. If you're really afraid, ask them if they can put you under for the procedure. I had teeth pulled when I was younger and they put me out.
Hey I have just done mine this morning and it is just a local anesthesia. I was really scared from last week onwards n was really trembling this morning. But i have to say, it is NOT painful at all! i guess the technology nowadays r very advanced in minimizing pain. on a scale of 10, i will give a 1 ~ 2 for the injection. after that there is absolutely no feeling. only the drilling sounds (yes he will need to drill it to smaller pieces) are a bit intimidating. but there is NO pain!
