I need help!!?!
Question: I have to abscesses under two of my teeth. I need to get one out and and then a root canal. But I've decided to take both of them out because I don't have that much money. My questions is.... Will it hurt me? I'm terrified!!! is there a chance of being complications? I mean... has someone died of these kinds of procedures!! I know it sounds silly but I'm soo scared!! : s

Far more people run into serious medical problems because they don't (or won't) see a dentist and fix up their teeth. I am always stunned that the medical/dental insurance community seems to view the mouth as separate from the rest of our bodies rather than an integral part that when kept clean and healthy contributes vastly to maintaining the entire body in a healthy state. It seems logical to me that one insurance for the entire body would make a lot more sense than the present system of separate insurances and people neglecting their mouths and risking the rest of their bodies
I've had both extractions and a root canal done. Unless you have some serious health problems (heart problems, allergies to novocaine, etc.), you won't die, and they don't hurt when you are numbed up.
I had a friend who let his abscessed teeth go and not see a dentist...he ended up in the hospital's ICU because of a systemic infection from his teeth. (He's since got them all pulled and is fine.)
Do it! Just get it done, get rid of the pain and be healthy!
