Whats the importance of wisdom teeth???!
Question: I'm getting my first one comin out... what does it indicate...lol that im getting wisdom or something??? And what other changes will happen in my face after it??? will it get bigger or something ??? lol im sorry if this sounds dumb...but just curious...by the way im 17

They are just extra teeth. You may want to have them removed. Most mouths aren't large enough to accommodate 2-4 more teeth, so you may get pain in the jaw, headaches, sinus pressure and they may push some of your front teeth together, making them crooked. I had 2 removed about 9 years ago, and it was worth it! I had the worst headaches and sinus pressure, all gone after they were removed. If you don't remove them, they won't change the appearance of your face or anything like that. Good luck!
Your face will not get bigger, but your jaw might really hurt. They call them wisdom teeth (or 3rd molars) because they start showing up in your teens to your 20's. Sorry, it does not make your smarter.
Most people will need their wisdom teeth extracted because usually their 3rd molars push towards the others and may not fit in your mouth & might cause pain. If this happens make an appointment to see a DDS soon. They will take an long x-ray called a Panorex which shows your wisdom teeth. He might reffer you to a specialty DDS called an oral surgeon. So the faster you make an appointment the sooner you get can get in.
But a lot of people live with them just fine. Best to you!
