Are bench presses, and push-ups the same?!
Question: Are bench presses, and push-ups the same?
Answers:
They are mostly the same. On the bench press you also need them little balancing muscles to maintain control of the weight, you know what I'm saying? The major muscle groups are the same though. Usually push ups are more of a endurance workout, and bench press is a strength workout. Usually.
If your'e in good shape you should be able to bench about your body weight at least once. But, there is nothing wrong with shooting for more.
And what does being white have to do with it?! haahah
US Marine, highschool weightlifting team. also a 150 pound white boy.
No, not really the same. I guess you should be able to bench around 120 lbs, tbh. It matters if you lift or are active.. I'm guessing the average person is 120 in your weight and age.. Height kind of matters. Average out of all 15 year olds is probably 100.
Doing 20 reps is dumb... If you're looking to gain strength you should be doing 5... Nothing more than 10...
Some races are genetically stronger, weaker... Erm, it's not average at all to bench your own bodyweight T_T
white teenager narrows down, just kidding. Try to found out your weight. Start benching 50 if you can easily do more than 20 reps. It's too light, but if you find a weight where you can hardly make 20 reps you found you weight.
