i don't think drinking lots of water will help you lose weight casue water wieght adds on so the more water the more u weigh when you get on that scale, but if you drink water and maybe run or something to sweat excess water out it may help stimulate it
Never rely on water; if you do, you'll actually flush all of the vitamins your body has, out and it'll make you sick as a dog.
The best thing to do is diet and exercise; When it comes to weight loss, that is, if you intend to be healthy, there are no "Short cuts" - straight up get on a diet and do push-ups, pull-ups, crunches and such.
You get out of it what you put into it so if you plan to cheat your way to be thin "fast", it'll bite you in the back - or the heart - HARD.
Drinking water will definitely be a good start to your weight loss routine but there are many things you would also need to improve upon before any noticeable changes will occur; diet and exercise for example.
If you are concerned with your weight, being that you are so young and already on medication, I would speak with your doctor before beginning any diet or exercise plan, just to be safe.
Best of luck and I applaud your efforts to become healthier (although 120 on a 5 foot frame is far from being overweight, just so you know!).
