Your problem could be genetic, or it could be because there is some problem with your health.
or it could be due to you consuming too much & of the wrong foods.
I have no idea what your eating & exercising habits are and so its kinda difficult to make any sort of recommendation.
but one thing I will say, if you drink any of the "soft drink" products
Don't that stuff, (even the "diet" type ) is bad for you! give it up.
Don't think of the "diet" sort of thing, get at least 3 healthy meals a day,
if you eat too little you body will go into starvation mode and that is VERY BAD for your health!

Eat small snacks instead of one big meal a day that way you can spread it out more and you'll feel so much better!! Join something you like doing!! Eat things like vegetables, yogurt, oatmeal, and fruits as they are filling and low fat! I take kickboxing and there's ladies of all shapes and sizes and they except everyone for who they are! If you sign up for a class with lots of adults in it, it will make things easier for you as they really don't judge or make fun of people. Kickboxing is a great workout and you loose weight and tone up fast. Its much easier to loose weight fast if your heavy you just have to keep working to keep it off! I would suggest starting out slow so even if you go the gym at quite times (such as during work/school hours) even if you only go for 30 minutes a day and work your way up. Start walking places or going for walks later at night if your shy, you can also ask a friend or relative to join you as that makes things a lot more interesting! Just have fun and don't make it a choir! Remember small things like eating 1 full meal a day (but a healthy one!) the rest of the day snack on healthy foods in small portions, try and exercise for at least 30 minutes a day and work yourself up to more! WORK TILL YOU SWEAT!

Ok, you're only 13, which being in the tweens/ early teens is the best time to lose weight. Do NOT eat once a week. That is the WORST thing to do. In fact, that will make your weight loss SLOWER. If you don't want to do a *ton* of physical activity, then I would recommend getting a cheap treadmill, and just walk on it, and plug in a movie, you could do that for an hour or just run on it for like 25-30 minutes. As for eating, just have something like oatmeal, or cereal for breakfast. For lunch, a salad or sandwich. And for dinner, a grilled chicken breast DRY, meaning nothing on it. Please don't kill yourself, or hurt your self. I cut myself for about 4 years, and it is a HARD thing to get out of. Good luck sweetie. Keep us posted.
