It depends on what your eating and skipping meals isn't. Good
You probably have a low metabolism so eat fruits and veggies a lot and you should be fine and try small exercises on the days you don't like going out for walks and stuff
first of all ur mothers correct.eating less then 1000 calories a day actually cause you to gain weight . its not about how much you eat but what you put in your body nutrition is very important in maintaing healthy body weight . don't eat less eat right and exercise as much as you can
I'd say you definitely aren't eating enough. But, I'm no doctor so I can't tell you exactly what a safe calorie per day account for you would be. So, make an appointment with your doctor and ask him. I'm sure he'll have plenty to say. Drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep, and God bless. :)
Eat diet food, don't skip meals just search up on Google " diet foods "
and ONLY drink water if your going on a diet, not even milk.
Also excerside 7/7 days a week for 90min.
Example diet food:
2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
2 Tbsp fresh orange juice
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp honey
1/4 tsp salt
freshly ground black pepper to taste
1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
8 cups fresh baby spinach (about 8 ounces)
1 large apple, cored and thinly sliced
1/4 cup (1 ounce) crumbled blue cheese
Combine juices, mustard, honey, salt and pepper in a small bowl and whisk together. Place onions and spinach in a large bowl. Add dressing and toss together. Top with blue cheese.
Also I reccomend eating 2 cups of strawberries each day, strawberries fight against cancer so you will less likely get cancer, ALSO they burn fat.
If you do lose pounds make sure you don't go under weight.

Your mother is right. Skipping meals and liquid diets are just as bad as starving yourself. By not eating several times a day your body gets hungry and goes into starvation mode. You need to eat 6 SMALL meals (250-300) calories per day, while balancing proteins, carbohydrates and lean fats. If you are very dedicated about this, get a food journal, determine how many calories you should eat a day, and religiously write down all of your calories to ensure you don't overeat. It's hard, but its definately worth it.

If you give me your height I can tell me how many you should eat per day, but if you don't want to you can always fill out the chart yourself, hit 'calculate', and then click the '7 day zig zag' and follow the 'FAT LOSS'. DO NOT follow the extreme fat loss, it actually harms your body and you need doctor approval! But I do that and I lose 2 pounds a week!
