exercising but not losing weight/fat?!
Question: Exercising but not losing weight/fat?
However, I am not losing the weight as quickly as I think I should be.
I joined a gym and I do the fitness classes. My week looks like this:
Monday:
Body combat AM (if I'm off work)
Aqua aerobics PM
Tuesday:
Body Step
Wednesday:
OFF
Thursday:
OFF because of Weigh In
Friday:
Aqua Aerobics
Saturday:
Aqua aerobics OR Legs Bums and Tums OR aerobics workout
Sunday:
Kickboxing
My muscles in my legs are now rock hard and I'm toning up very nicely. However, I'm still quite wobbly! I'm not losing the fat I want to lose, instead I'm gaining and toning muscle.
What am I doing wrong? I always workout to my maximum potential. Does anyone have any advice on either what I am doing wrong or what I should be doing?

I'm no fitness instructor but fat turns to muscle which weighs heavier than fat?
brilliant weightloss, well done!!
It sounds like you are losing at the recommended rate. One thing, you are doing a lot of exercise and muscle weighs more than fat, so maybe go by measurements in centimetres than on pounds and ounces.
you may be doing too much too.
finally, some of the wobbling may be loosened skin, so you need to take your time losing the weight or you can end up with bingo wings and a tummy that need surgical intervention. 4 stone should take 9-12 months to come off, stay off and not cause skin problems, after all it goes on slowly.
good luck.
Loosing weight fast is always an unhealthy thing.
The best thing to loose and hold a healthy weight is healthy food, less sugar, lots of drinking water, and sports.
There are many diets who tell you that you can loose a lot of weight in no time. And it is working, but you are doing no good to your body. And there's also the Jojo-effect.
Diet has to begin in your head. And you already started to think about your nutrition. That's an important step. It is too easy just to make a magazine-diet for 2-3 weeks and loose some weight. But it will come back soon again. If you are over-thinking your nutrition and activity, you will have a constantly good result. Isn't that much better and healthier than a crash-diet ?
Good Luck and Take care :-)
