Question: Am i going to gain weight by eating under 1200 calories?
so i started a diet a month ago and ive been losing some weight but i started eating 1200 calories and somedays i eat about 680-800. i exercise everyday too. my friend said i will probably gain weight by doing this. is this true?

Yep! Your body will start to store your fat because it thinks it's not going to be getting enough food. It also stalls your metabolism, which helps you burn calories in the first place. It stalls your metabolism because your body instinctively goes into a starvation mode in which it tries to burn calories as slowly as possible to conserve energy. Calories are in fact a unit of energy. It's measured in joules in some countries, which is the more scientific word for energy.

You're probably okay at 1200 as long as your stomach isn't growling constantly. But I'd seriously recommend not counting calories at all. All that matters is exercise in the end. Just gotta burn'em off.

No. And DON'T eat less than 1,200 Calories- or you could very well end up as "Dead Weight"- Anyway !! :o
