Khaleel is wrong. Squats do not cause you to lose fat in just that area. It is IMPOSSIBLE to spot reduce. In order to gain muscle mass in that area you will have to continuously increase the weight you are using while doing the squats. Just increasing your reps and sets will only build endurance which is not what you're going for. Also, you must allow adequate rest in between the days that you do squats. Allow at least 48 hrs after doing them to repeat your squat routine. The reason your butt got smaller is probably because you lost weight. Did you weigh yourself 3 months ago and recently? Unfortunately there are no foods that will increase just your butt. If you wouldn't mind gaining a few pounds that might help but otherwise your only option is progressive weight training and lots and lots of protein along with some healthy carbs.
I know you want a bigger butt, so do I, but you should not feel so bad about yourself or pay attention to those guys that make negative comments towards you. Just keep yourself in shape and healthy.
squats make you lose weight in the thigh and butt area so whoever told you doing them would give more shape mislead you because it makes you LOSE fat content in that area.
