It's good for weight loss to have at least 1 fruit a day. If you have too much of anything it can lead to weight gain. Fruits have natural sugars so they shouldn't be over consumed but having 1-2 a day isn't going to affect your dieting as long as you stay within your calorie intake.

It can if you don't burn it off. Some fruits are low in sugars and carbs, and will be less work to work off.
