Dieting for a teenager?!
Question: Dieting for a teenager?
I'm fourteen years old and feel that I should start watching what I eat. I'm not "crash dieting" I simply want to begin having a healthier lifestyle as to prevent future "crash diets". I'm not over weight, I'm average however I'm reaching the age and development where what I eat really counts. If anyone has any ideas on how to keep a good weight or maybe loose a little, I would appreciate it. Note: I know the basic healthy foods and amount of exercise, but when you have a time limit and don't control what foods come into your house, it is difficult to follow.

Basically try and avoid things made with processed sugar and anything fried. Soda, fries, etc. At 14 you should not be on a low cal or low carb diet. But reducing saturated fats and processed sugars and increasing fruits veggies, fresh lean meats, whole grains and raw nuts is a good idea at any age.
If you don't have time to exercise much, try doing push ups, ab crunches and deep knee bends before bed. It only takes maybe 15 to 20 min and can really help your body develop a firm healthy shape.
