Question: How many grams of protein should I be consuming per day!?
I am a 28 year old active female!. I work out regularly and weight train!. I think I might be consuming too much protein!. I am 5'5 and 120-125 pounds!. How many grams should I be consuming to maintain and increase my muscle mass!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

To gain muscle mass you should be consuming at least one gram of protein per every pound of your body weight every day, spread out throughout the day!. I'm a *bit* taller than you & weigh more than you do, but I aim for 100+ grams per day!. I just try to make sure to get a protein @ every meal & make sure I have REAL food (not processed) with plenty of water, fiber and fruits & veggies!.
If you want to increase your muscle MASS, you should be lifting heavier weights & less reps that will "rip" the muscle instead of lighter weights with more reps that will "tone" it!. When your muscle "rips" it repairs itself & gets larger!.
Diet & your Excercise Routine are both important, it's not just 1 thing such as the grams of protein, but I'm sure you probably already know that!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
