I am only sore in my sholders?!


Question: I am only sore in my sholders!?
im 16 and i have been lifting bench press for about a week now!. I have been doing it every other day and i am doing 3sets of 6 reps with 110pounds!. It gives me a good workout but i am only sore in my sholders after!. I thought bench press was supposed to build up triceps and pecs and other muscles but it seems to only have an affect on my sholders!. Any suggestions on what im doing wrong!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Watch movies on youtube showing proper form, if you've only been doing it for a week, your probably not ready to work it every other day, give yourself atleast 2 days off between lifting for the first month!. You also are probably strenghtening your "secondary" muscles aka your balancing mulsces, obviously benching is mostly chest and triceps but your forearms shoulders, neck and back are all helping you balance the heavy weight!. For proper form try and bring the bar al close to or touching your chest without "dropping/bouncing" it off your chest!. Also your grip may be to wide or narrow, hard to describe wear to grab the bar but go to the gym and see how your friends or other ppl lifting(who hopefully know what theyre doing) grip the bar!. On other days work other muclse groups like your legs,biceps back ect!. Benching is a great workout that will benefit you in nearly all sports and a good beach bod workout!.
