Well, sort of!. Everyone burns a certain amount of energy (Calories if you like) just to keep living!. The functioning of various organs, the heart, the brain, breathing; it all takes some energy and is called your Basal Metabolic Rate!. The average women has a BMR of around 1400 Calories (per day), the average man around 1900 (varies mostly on body weight)!. So respiration alone wouldn't burn that much, but combined will all your other bodily functions you'll easily use that much doing nothing!. It's also worth noting that the estimation assumes you haven't eaten anything in over 12 hours: if you had, your digestive system would be working and would use up even more energy!.

(Bonus: people who think they're only eating 1000 Calories for an extended period of time!? Either starving themselves in a big way or not counting very well)Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes!. keep in mind that will be why you are supposed to have around 2000 calories per day!.
