Question: Toning up after "significant" weight loss!? ("No Xpolde" question)!?
I used to weigh 220 lbs!. and I'm down to 155 lbs!. I want to tone up but (sorry if I gross you out here) I have a bit of loose skin!. It isn't so much I need a lypectomy I just wanna tone up!. So my question is if No Xplode can help without gaining much weight!. I know it helps to bulk up, but can it work to just tone up!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:

Generally speaking, if you have lost a massive amount of weight, chances are that you will have a significant amount of loose skin which, sadly, is only removable by surgery!.

In your case, you have lost about 60lbs, which isn't really that massive an amount of weight!. I lost almost 30lbs myself about 6 years ago without any loose skin forming whatsoever!.

I would like to ask a couple of questions though:

1) How long did you take to lose that 60lbs!. Generally, the slower you lose weight, the less likely you are to develop loose skin!.

2) Have you had your bodyfat percentage tested!? Like someone else said above, it could simply be that you're not lean enough!.

Coming back to your question, the answer is no!. NO Xplode will not help you to tone up!. NO is a nitric oxide supplement that has temporary effects!. People report tremendous pumps when they're on it!. But that's only temporary!. The pump will eventually go!.

Toning up is a misnomer!. Many people talk about toning up!. What 99!.9% of people don't understand is that the methods used to "tone" and "bulk" are exactly the same!. For some strange reason, 99!.9% of the population thinks that by going to the gym and hitting the weights hard, muscles are going to start popping out at random!. Let's get this straight once and for all:

IT TAKES YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS of effort to build muscle!. You're not going to go to the gym, do a few sets, and get big!. It doesn't happen that way!. Never has; never will!.

When toning, just train your muscles like you always should: with heavy weights (not maximum weight, but not too light either) and consistently!. Keep doing that and you will reach a point where you find your muscles are firm even when you're not flexing!. At this point, you can consider yourself "toned" and then you can either maintain the weights or reduce the frequency of your training!.

Finally, how "toned" you are is also a function of your leanness!. If you're lean and carrying a low bodyfat percentage, your body will naturally have a firmer feel to it than someone with more fat!. Get your bodyfat levels checked out and then take it from there!.

Don't bother with the NO Xplode!. Your money is better spent elsewhere!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just read the other day that your skin will continue to tighten up for a couple of years after you lose weight, so that's one thing that can help (waiting)!.

Also, weight training can really help a lot!. It can fill you in in the right places and the skin won't be as loose!. Just get some light weights for the upper body, and also do squats and lunges, etc!. Running can have a tendency to make your skin saggier, so that's not the best choice!.

I also saw something the other day about dry skin brushing to help with loose skin!. You could probably Google it to find that!. Dry brushing is good anyway because it helps with detoxing and circulation, I think!.

I also read years ago in a Cory Everson book where she said to make sure you're getting enough protein to help your skin bounce back!.

Congratulations on the weight loss! That's really a great achievement!

you still may have fat to lose, it's less than what it was before but its still fat!. so if you could get down to like 5% fat then you wouldn't have ANY loose skin!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

I wouldn't suggest losing a to much more weight, I recommend going to the weight room three times a week doing crunches, bench press, core excersises, ect!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

HIIT (High intensity interval training), as easy as jog 30s, sprint 30s, jog 30s, sprint 30s!. repetitivley, start with 4 minutes of that, increase it every time you do cardio exercise even if its just another 30s!. That's whats helped me tone upWww@Answer-Health@Com
