Question: Things to know when lifting wights!?
im gonna have weight training next semester and i dont know what all the terms are like the lawn mower and just other crap
could someone tell me all the thngs im gonna need to know or just where to to find them Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most important thing to know about weight training is that when you are lifting weights you are "not building muscle" - you are actually "tearing down" the muscle!. It is after weight training (when you are relaxing and recovering from the workout) that you build muscle!.

I would suggest that you familiarize yourself with the basic exercises (bench presses, squats, etc) and the main muscle groups that each exercise works!. Learn the basic terminology such as set, repetition, etc!.

Well, you should know the correct posture of lifting in each and every work out!. Otherwise, there are chances of getting hurt in lower back, shoulder etc!.

For that, the so called videos or the books will not help much!. You must learn the lifting techniques from a certified coach only!.
