Answers:
Research suggests that High Fructose Corn Syrup is worse for your health when consumed in large amounts - in other words, if you must consume food that has a lot of sweetener in it, then in fact the less bad option would be the sugar!.

Research into the effects of sugars on the body is starting to indicate that because Fructose is dealt with my the liver, when you consume it in large amounts (especially as HCFC - the word 'high' speaks for itself) the liver cannot cope with it and you can developing a 'fatty liver' which is not good and something only normally seen in people who drink a lot of alcohol!.

Sugar, on the other hand, is made up of fructose and glucose together!. When it is digested, fructose and glucose are both released!. The liver does not have the same problem with glucose, so the effects are not as bad!.

The adverts you refer to are misleading and an example of big business trying to confuse consumers into accepting something that's not good for them - there's a good article about this on Pay Now Live Later - see link below!. Suggesting that something is OK in moderation is not a fair thing to say when it's something that's hard to consume in moderation - i!.e!. when it exists in such large amounts in so many foods (e!.g!. soft drinks and sweet snacks)!.

Sugar might be 'not as bad', but it is still bad - there is another link below to Pay Now Live Later about the dangers of refined sugar, if you are interested!.

My advice would be to avoid products with both of these in and aim to eat naturally sweet things like dried fruit, fresh fruit and unsweetened fruit juice!. It takes a bit of time to adjust your taste buds, but once you have, these things taste even better than the unnaturally sweetened products with things like sugar and HCFCs in!. It is also much better for health and weight control!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Avoid high fructose corn syrup at any cost!. In fact, I would even advise you to use sugar instead of it!.
One theory has shown that fructose is more readily converted to fat by your liver than is sucrose, increasing the levels of fat in your bloodstream!. In addition, animal studies have shown a link between increased consumption of high-fructose corn syrup and adverse health effects, such as diabetes and high cholesterol!.
High-fructose corn syrup is found in the form of soft drinks, fruit-flavored beverages and other processed foods!. These types of foods are often high in calories and low in nutritional value!. This fact alone is reason to be cautious about foods containing high-fructose corn syrup!.

Hope I helped! =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

sugar is somewhat natural where corn syrup is like pancake syrup loaded with sugar and starch and so unhelathy, its a cheaper was for companies to make food sweeter, its bad because it is easiest to convert to fat and only has 10 minutes of energy with it followed by a sugar crash, kids should have 100% juice instead and no soda as these two things have it more than anythingWww@Answer-Health@Com
