I have eaten before a workout. I always eat after a workout. About an hour before I work out I usually drink a protein shake with fruit in it. But sometimes I get heartburn so bad I have to stop in the middle of my routine.

The best thing to do is stick with ice water-I've suffered from horrible reflux and ice water is great. Eat after a workout, but avoid food within an hour of when you start, because that will mess you up, and I hope that helps! Good luck!
