Question: If you do a lot of aerobic exercise like swimming when you are younger, can that make you grow more!?
I was a total slacker when I was a pre-teen and teen and on top of that I didn't eat right at all!.

I ended up only growing to 5'7" My dad is 6" so I'm convinced I stunted my growth because we really don't have any short men in the family!.

Anyway, one day when I have kids, if I make them swim and play soccer and stuff like that, will they grow more!?

In this world, you gotta be tall or you don't get no respect!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

actually there is no correlation between aerobic exercise and height

your height may have been one of two things

1!. poor diet (not enough calcium or some other essential nutrient)

First of all, doing aerobic exercise or not has no effect on your growth!.

As long as you get enough Vitamin D and Calcium you should grow to the height you were meant to get to!.

If you smoke, that stunts your growth because it ceases the amount of growths factors that your thymus gland produces as a child!. Your thymus gland is responsible for your growth!. It is larger as a child and gets smaller as you grow up because people eventually stop growing!. You can actually reverse your stunted growth if you start eating right, getting the right amount of Vitamin D and Calcium in your diet every day!. And stop smoking if you do!. And also, resistance training strengthens your bones!. So lift weights as well!.

Do you really think you will gain respect if you are tall!? I dont think so!. It boils down to your attitude!. You can be 6' 7" and if you are a jerk, I doubt anyone will respect you!.!.!.!.

Genetics determine how tall your kids will grow!. It has nothing to do with your sedentary lifestyle!. Excercising can only help with certain aspects of your life, but not all of it!. It wont make your grow tall, or beautiful or clever!.

standing and sitting upright will help you look taller!. try taking up some hatha yoga sessions, these sessions help you strenghten your postures and elongates your spine!. But be aware that you are NOT going to grow tall just because you practise yoga!. you will just learn to sit and stand upright!. and that will make you LOOK taller!.

it has nothing to do with it, respect comes from giving respect, and not taking crap and letting yourself get pushed around!.it doesn't matter if you don't have any tall men in your family, its genetics , your great grandpa could have been 5'4''Www@Answer-Health@Com
