What is your motivation?!


Question: What is your motivation!?
I workout from time to time but never on a consistent basis!. I feel lazy at times and won't workout for a while!. I was just wondering what your motivations are!.!.!.if there are any!?

I used to be the same way!. I would have these spurts and decide I was really into losing weight and I would exercises for a few days!.!. But it never really lasted!.!.

Growing up, I was always really motivated by praise, and "good work" stickers at the top of school papers and such!. I applied this motivation to my weight loss efforts!. (I am a bit overweight!.!.!.)

I bought a cheap wall calander and hung it on the fridge, along with a pile of "you did it!" "awesome job!" stickers!.!. (They're easy to find right now because of back to school season!.!. And so I put a sticker on each square that I excersize!. If at the end of the month I'm only missing less than 8 days, I'll reward myself!.

Last month, I had my hair done with highlights!. Month before that I decided to get a manicure!.

I find that rewarding yourself in doses really works!. If you're more focused on losing pounds, try a reward every five pounds lost!. If you're more motivated by BIG rewards, go for every ten pounds!.!. Buy a new pair of shoes, get that tattoo that you decided you weren't slim enough for!. Wear sexy clothes for a night on the town!. Have a one night stand!. ;) The options are endless!.

Decide that for every milestone you meet, you're going to do something for YOU!. Not for your boyfriend, who's tired of your love handles, or your parents, who nag you about your jeans looking too tight!. But for you--because it's your body and YOU'RE the one who wants it to be healthy and look good!.

And trust me, those aren't the only rewards you'll find along the way!.

Working out is a big stress reliever, so sometimes a long day is enough of a motivation for me to go for a run!. Also, I just feel better after I work out: refreshed and healthy!. When I just sit on my butt all day, I feel so lazy and sluggish, and I don't like the way it feels, so working out prevents that!. Keeping active also keeps me fit, which is one of my biggest incentives!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My motivations are clothes and guys!.
Clothes- I want to look good in clothes, so I want to lose weight and stick to my diet!. I can't fit into my pair of jeans from last year, so I'm gonna work extra hard to fit into those again lol
