Which matters more- the # of calories or the type of calories?!


Question: Which matters more- the # of calories or the type of calories!?
okay so they say to eat less than 1000 calories if your on a strict diet, but that means you eat like three packages of hoho's and you're good!. i think that what matters is if they're healthy calories or good calories!. isn't that right!? isn't it better to eat 2,000 calories of healthy stuff than 1,000 calories of junk!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's dumb to eat 1000 calories of junk food!. You're hungry the rest of the day! If you eat 1000 calories of good foods (fruits and veggies, etc!.), you'll be fuller longer and be able to feel like you're eating more!.!.!. because you are!

And there are those pesky vitamins and minerals to think about!. ;)

Your friend will not lose the weight she wants to lose because she's not getting the nutrients she needs to stay healthy!. If she eats junk food instead of good food, her hair will grow more brittle, her fingernails will grow thinner, her skin won't look as nice, she can get sick easier, and other things!.

I wouldn't say "2000 calories of good food is better than 1000 of junk" because someone can gain weight easier with more calories!. But nutrients are very, very important!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'd say they're equally important, but have different impacts on your overall health!. You might be able to lose weight by eating fewer calories that are all junk food, but your body wouldn't be getting the nutrients it needs to be healthy!.

On the other hand, if you eat too much, even of healthy foods, your body will put on weight and that has other health implications even though your body has plenty of nutrients being fed to it!.

Here's the rub, though!. If you eat healthy foods you're less likely to over eat because you'll be eating more fiber and protein, which are both quite filling!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would rather eat 2000 calories of healthy food and workout for a while, because then that would be still be a healthy amount of calories!.!.
you should never eat 1000 calories of junk, you're getting no nutrients except refined sugar, fat and bad carbsWww@Answer-Health@Com
