What fraction of a carb is it when ingredient labels say, "Total carbs <!
Question:
What fraction of a carb is it when ingredient labels say, "Total carbs < 1"?
When there are 0 sugar, 0 fiber, 0 everything under total carbs, the ingredient lables say it is less than 1. There are allot of things I eat that are < 1 so I'm sure by the end of the day, they all add up. So would I just count it as 1/3 of a carb or is there a more acurate fraction? Please just answer the question and PLEASE don't give me your openion on how I should eat.
Answers:
Less than 1 carb means exactly that, less than 1 carb. There is not a standard formula on how to calculate a fraction or decimal number because with each food item the ingredients are different. If you have to count carbs then use each line item of <1 as the decimal 0.5. On some items you will be over calculating but on others you will be under calculating.
