In shape - healthy?!
Question:
In shape - healthy?
Hi. I get a couple hours of activity in every day and have a pretty fit body. I also drink the 8 oz of water, etc. But there is a history of obesity, heart problems, and diabetes in my family. I eat healthy in general but can scarf down a lot of donuts, mac 'n cheese, etc. Is it possible for all this crap to be clogging up my arteries even if I look fine on the outside? Can eating junk and fatty foods every day lead to obesity and/or other health problems?
Answers:
Yes it is possible that your arteries can be clogging. This is a very silent occurrence in the body and there are no symptoms until your arteries are seriously clogged. With family history there is also the issue that high cholesterol (which leads to clogged arteries) is also genetic so keeping an eye on your cholesterol level is an important thing to do. Many very healthy looking people actually have seriously high cholesterol or even serious heart disease. Sorry to be so negative but, these are the unfortunate facts.
