Yes, milk does help you loose weight. This is because the body needs fresh fats (as opposed to stored fat) to be able to burn stored fat. This doesn't mean that milk is a magic bullet that enables you to loose weight while eating crap and not exercising. The reality is that you need a balanced diet and the total exclusion of either fats, carbs or protein is not beneficial for your health.

To the people who blindly promote low fat or skim milk. Besides the above facts showing the folly of this, are you aware that in days gone by, farmers who practised real farming, as opposed to mass confinement monocultures, used to skim their own milk. The skim milk was was then used to FATTEN their pigs.
