Is protien good for dieting/muscle building?!

Is protien good for dieting/muscle building?

im trying to lose weight around my belly, and get more muscular. people are telling me that unless i eat alot of protien my body will just eat my muscles and turn them to fat, is this true? is protien a type of fat? will protein result in fat gain? what is a fat free source of protien?


Answers:

Eat protein from chicken, turkey, fish. It is good for building muscles. But be sure to still get your vegetables. Stay awasy from fried foods and stay away from anything that contains
white flour (white bread, cakes, cookies, etc)
