Scared of eating too much?!

Question:

Scared of eating too much?

today and yesturday i consumed no more than 600 calories cause i'm sick of the scale creeping up on me. every time i eat 900 or less, the scale goes down. if its any more it stays the same for a few days and then begins to creep up. i'm 16 and somewhere between 132 and 139 pounds (it changes so often and it changes fast....one day i'll be 135, and the next i'll be three pounds heavier or lighter), i exercise every other day for at least 45 minutes (usually biking, jogging or DDR) i weigh myself at the same time each day.

so idk, have i messed up my metabolism or something? am i eating the wrong foods? (i'm good about staying away from junk food - but i do love sandwhiches and bread in general and i know too much bread isnt good) this has been an issue for about a month now....

Answers:

wow. you're very obsessed. first of all, wean yourself from weighing yourself everyday. weigh yourself once a week at the same time. secondly, your weight is suppose to fluctuate during the day, and came be up to 5 pounds. it's only water weight. that is why you're suppose to weigh yourself when you just wake up before you consume anything. thirdly, if you're trying to lose weight, you're going about it the wrong way. eating less than 1,200 calories is starving your body and yes it is ruining your metabolism, and you are going to ruin your body if you continue. during the day you burn anywhere from 1,200-1,500 calories JUST TO LIVE! so set your calories between 1,200-1,500 if you're trying to lose weight. do 30 minutes of cardio 5-6 days a week. if you're trying to maintain your weight, eat about 2,000 calories a day and exercise 4-5 days a week for 30 mins.
