Is running a good way to drop weight?
Well not really running. I jog everyday at about 6.0 mph for about 40 min straight. I usually speed up to 6.5 in between for a minute or two at a time. I was wondering if i do this 4-5 days a week whether or not i will drop weight.

Yes, however any cardio will help you lose weight. DIET is also key to losing weight!
