Am I overworking my quadriceps?!
Question:
Am I overworking my quadriceps?
I usually ride a bike to go to the gym. The problem is, it's an uphill ride along the way. So i'm a little concern about my quadriceps. I feel them getting sore while I'm biking. I go to the gym 6 days a week. It doesn't seem to affect my performance whenever I do squats but I just wanna make sure that this won't disrupt my improvement. I'm fifteen. I have a pretty good workout routine that is guaranteed to improve my strength. I've been doing this for 2 months now and I have witnessed my improvements. I prefer to ride a bike because my mom doesn't have the time to give me a ride in her car. And i don't wanna walk because it's a 45 minute walk.
P.S. = I know that if you overwork your muscles, it can make you weaker.

I don't work the same muscles everyday. I work 6 days a week with 3 different routines.
mondays: Upper body A
tuesdays: Upper body B
wednesdays: Lower body
thursdays: Upper body A
fridays: Upper body B
saturdays: Lower body
As you can see, I got two different Upper body workouts that works different muscles.
Answers:
The idea about making your muscles weaker is if you do not give them time to recover between work outs. When you are lifting be sure you are balancing your exercise with the hamstrings, not just the quads. Going to the gym is okay, but you can not work the same muscles each day without recovery days.
