Running further????

i've been running 2 miles for like 2 weeks and i would like to run more.... my goal is like 5 miles a day 4-5 times a week. should i add like a 1/2 mile every week until i get there? like next week do 2.5 miles and the week after 3 miles and so forth????


Answers:

Sounds good to me. Something else you can try is doing it in a tiered methode. Do 1,2,3,2,1 and the week later 2,3,4,3,2. If you mix it up like that you get the best of both worlds. I do 2 8 mile runs, 2 5 mile runs, and 1-2 3 mile sprints. You get fast and distance.
