What ever you choose to do make sure it is sustainable. Ask your self could I eat like this for 1 day? 1 week? For the rest of my life?
I would be more inclined to suggest something like weight watchers, the great thing with weight watchers is it can help teach you what are the best things to eat and after you have been doing it for a while you will not need to count points anymore, you will just know.
What ever you do remember to include some exercise. Try some cardio at least 3 times per week and strength training 2 times per week, not only will you be trim for your wedding day but you will be toned too, and look great for the wedding night!!!!
You have nine months so try not to stress out too much.
Set your self a goal and plan how you are going to acheive it step by step.
Your main goal is to loose weight for the wedding
What is the exact date?
How much do you weigh now and how much would you like to weigh by the big day?
Brake the amount you need to loose into smaller more acheivable mini goals (eg 1 pound or 500grams per week).
Start small and build your way up from there.
In week one you could plan to keep a diary of what you eat and drink and go for a 20min walk on monday wednesday and friday.
In week two you could continue these walks and plan to eat a healthy breakfast everymorning.....
Week three, keep doing what you were doing in week one and two but add another change to your diet and increase the time distance or speed of your walks..........
Do you see what I am suggesting, and how small changes look a lot less daunting than that big end goal?

Do keep the food diary every week. You can look back on it and see where improvements can be made and it makes you accountable. I keep my food diary on the fridge. When I want to get something to eat just realising I have to write down my choice means I almost always choose the apple over the chocolate.
If you loose the plot and have a bad weekend of too much of the wrong food/drink nd too little activity do not stress just get back on track and let it go.
Do not weigh yourself more than once per week, it will cause too much stress! If you are going to weigh yourself choose a day and time and only do it then.
If you are exercising at home rather than in a gym there are heaps of strength exercises you can do that require little or no equipment. For the lower body try squats and lunges for the upperbody try dips and pushups, research variations of these exercises and start at a beginner level, there are variations to all these exercises that will increase their dificulty as your strength improves and stop you from getting bored with your workout.
Finally, make exercise fun, do what you enjoy that way you will stay motivated for longer.

Good luck with all the preparations for your big day!
