Answers:
Anxiety + depression are tough adversaries; people who haven't dealt with them can't understand!. It's like fighting a radioactive shadow - it's poisonous but almost impossible to kill!

You'll have to address the anxiety to make any fix in the diet department!. The standard, usual things would be to spend more time with friends and family + your girl if you have one!. But anxiety generally strikes people who don't have these relationships to begin with!. Anything you can do to connect/recconnect with friends is going to help, and obviously having someone to sleep with at least part time will help some!. But you know that ;-)

Some doctors may tilt towards drugs!. Unless you have a severe, lifelong physical issue that causes a neurological imbalance they will create more problems than they solve!.

Meanwhile address the food/excercise balance as best you can!. You'll probably overeat somewhat but you can at least put the brakes on that habit!.
1!. Designate times for meals, similar to your system *before* you gained that fat!. Except for 1a below, eat only at mealtimes, period!. NO munching, snacks, just a little bite etc!. You are eating more calories than you think!. Eat a little less of everything except vegtables; think "10% less than I want"!.
1a!. You can snack anytime on celery, lettuce, tomatoes and similar vegtables that are all water!. Not potatoes or anything less than 90% water!. No dressing, bacon bits etc on these!.
2!. Eat slower, and try to have company for dinner!. You'll eat slower when other people are around!. Eating slowly has many benefits, one is that you'll feel more satisfied w less food!.
3!. Stop eating BEFORE you have a sense of being "full"!. That full tank was meant for the days when people had to feast to live through famines!. It means "I'm happy cuz I'm putting fat in the tank"!.
4!. Continue your old excercise program!.

Finally, once you get the anxiety under control, getting the food/excercise balance back will be easy!. You did it before, so you can do it again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Weight Watchers!. The program addresses how to manage anxiety, so that you do not stuff your emotions with food!. You're using your body like a garbage can!. And, you are NOT garbage!. If you've been healthy up to now, something might have drastically shifted in your metabolism (which you might want to rule out with a doctor)!. More likely, though stress - not infrequently related to a love relationship - shifted your relationship to food!. I hope you seek help beyond Yahoo! Answers soon!. An abdominal six-pack is much more satisfying all around than a Budweiser six-pack!. ;-)Www@Answer-Health@Com
