I had foot surgery after 9 months of trying to convince my doctor that something was wrong!. Nothing showed up on the x-rays, bone scan and a steroid shot in my foot did absolutely nothing for my pain!. After the surgery was done, the surgeon told me that although nothing showed up on x-rays, they decided to take a bone out of my foot anyway (bone scan showed a little inflammation)!. When the bone was removed he said it looked like someone had "scooped out" the side of the bone and that's what was causing all of my pain!. Anyway, since I was pretty much immobile I gained about 15 to 20 pounds over this 9 month period!. There wasn't a whole lot I could do until after I literally got back on my feet!. I started on NutriSystem!. Dieting has helped but I felt so flabby! A walking DVD came with the program and I have been doing that!. A good pair of tennis shoes with a lot of support has helped!. Don't overdo it!. If you are hurting, stop!. Try crunches for abs!. Do a lot of leg lifts!. I am sure that I am not nearly as active as you are (sit behind a desk all day for work!.) I would say, to be on the safe side, talk to your doctor or get in touch with your trainer or the coach in charge of your football team!. They should be able to give you some pointers!. If you take a mis-step or move the wrong way, it could be the end of your football career!. I assume you are young and you want to take the proper precautions!. Good luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Swim!. It's a virtually low impact exercise that makes all the muscles in your body work!. Start with a few laps then increase as you go along!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
