1000 calorie a day diet?!


Question: 1000 calorie a day diet!?
I'm 4'11 and 110 lbs!. I'm not looking for a fast diet or anything, because I don't want to lose a lot of muscle and I'd also like to keep the weight off!. I've heard a lot of different things!.!.!.some say 1000 calories a day isn't healthy and others have said that it's too much!.
I don't exercise a lot (maybe jog 30 min!. a day, 2-3 times a week) cause I just hate it =P

Also I have no idea what Psyche was talking about!. The normal calories consumed for a girl to stay the same weight is around 2,000 calories NOT 5,000!. If everyone ate 5,000 calories a day we would all be fat/obese!. Even 3,000 is really high!.!.!. Anyways, that website is pretty accurate!. I would recommend a higher amount of caloric intake!. Even if you're just sleeping all day, your body is constantly burning calories!. For someone of your size, being completely sedentary you would still be burning over 1000 calories!. I looked up a recommended daily calorie intake calculator, and it says to take in 1684 calories per day!. These calculators take into account your height, weight, and activity level!.

I used to be anorexic myself, so I know of the dangers of falling into the mindset that it's ok to starve yourself!. I actually had a friend that passed away last year from heart complications because of being anorexic!. It definitely sounds like you have a better head on your shoulders than that though, just for the fact that you're asking for opinions!. :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

your suppose to have like 5000 a day that 1/5 of what your suppose to have!. totally unhealthy!. try 3000!. remember it has top the the WHOLE day!. you cant function on 1000cals!. whoever said that is to much was either crazy!.talking about a child!. or anorexic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
