Creatine + Protein = ?!

Question:

Creatine + Protein = ?

Ive done some research and found that creatine yes increases strength and endurance but that it also drives water into your muscles.. is there any truth to this? Ive also researched that protein helps to build muscle.. so if i took protein and creatine together would the protein help build muscle instead of having creatine drive water into them... while still having the benefits of the strength and endurance increases with creatine?

Answers:

creatine will always draw more intracellular fluid into the cell, that is partly how it manages all its benefits, for more strength-energy, etc.

look up the diff types of creatine there are now on the market (creatine monohydrate, ester-bonded creatine, kre-alklyn-brand creatine, etc). diff types have diff & better advantages.

creatine in its own way helps to build muscle b/c it helps produce more energy for cells (krebs cycle), which in turn helps your muscles heal a little quicker (than without creatine)

remember your stomach does not recognize these two as the supplements that we differentiate in our minds, your body takes the supplements & breaks them down to utilize in your body's nutrient needs.

& yes, you can take them together, one of muscletech's protein products already has creatine monohydrate in it. most people end up buying separate for various personal reasons. one of which, is knowing what you are getting & how much of it.
as well, many a creatine product label advise you take them separate to "maximize" creatine effect, & not let your stomach's contents absorb the creatine- thus lessening the amount for use.
(they also advise a minimum amount of water/fluids to drink daily & in conjunction with their creatine product, hhmm i wonder why?)
