Question: If I dont eat for three days how much weight will I lose!?!?!?
I weight about average but I want to be slim and I just saw in a magazine one woman's target weight is over a stone lower than I am!. And she has a lovely curvy body!

Seeing as I cant diet I thought I just wouldnt eat for short periods of time!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh gods! Another f*ckwit who thinks she can lose weight by not eating! How tall was that woman!? I'm 5'6" and weigh 8st 7!. My mother weighs (almost) a stone less than I do - but she's only 5'!.

Do you know what 'BMI' stands for - and what it is!.!.!.!?

My BMI is currently 19!.2 (on the lean side of okay)
My mother's BMI is currently 20!.7 (so she's fine, too)

If I weighed what my mother did I'd be anorexic (you're classed as anorexic if your BMI drops below 17!.5) because I'd be 16!.9

Conversely, if my mother weighed what I do, her BMI would be 23!.5, so still okay, but not far off being overweight!.

Okay BMI doesn't tell you everything about your body composition, it's merely a ratio (the formula is your weight in kilos (divide your weight in lbs by 2!.2 to convert) divided by the square of your height in metres (convert your ft/ins measurement to ins and then multiply by 2!.54 to convert to cms and then, obviously, divide by 100 to get metres)

So, for example: - I'm 5'6" and weigh 8st 7 (119lbs)

My weight in kilos is 54!.1 and my height in metres is 1!.68

so dividing 54!.1 by the square of 1!.68 (2!.82) that gives me a BMI of 19!.2 (rounding to 1 significant figure)!.

If you simply stop eating, your metabolism will grind to a halt meaning that, when you start again, you'll gain more weight than you lose (assuming you lose any, which is unlikely)!.

"I can't diet" translates as: - "I'm too fecking lazy to bother and I don't want to stop shoving McD's/KFC/BK/Domino's/Pizza Hut down my neck!"

I'm right, aren't I!.!.!.!? Your body has what is known as a Resting Metabolic Rate - this is the number of calories you'd burn if you were doing nothing for 24 hours!. It varies depending on your age, weight, height and activity level!.

Because I am disabled, I don't exercise much, so mine is around 1,600kcals/day!.

The older - and fatter - you are, the higher this figure is!.

You might lose a pound or so but it will go straight back on as soon as you eat properly!. You will lose mostly water, not fat!. When you don't eat for a couple of days your body goes into famine mode, and your metabolism lowers to compensate for the lack of food!. If you want to lose weight cut down on the portions you eat, (use a smaller plate)!.Cut back on refined carbs, breads, cakes biscuits etc, eat foods with high fibre, wholemeal bread and pasta, brown rice etc!. If you want to snack eat fruit, unsalted nuts or vegetables!. Drink plenty of fluids, fizzy water is supposed to help you feel full, but not diet drinks with artificial sweeteners like diet coke!. When you eat, put your Knife and fork down between mouthfuls - it makes you more aware of what you're eating!. Chew all food well as this helps to start the digestive process that will tell you when you're full!. Don't eat while watching telly, on the phone etc, concentrate on the food as it will give you an awareness of what your body needs!. Finally get some exercise, even if it's just 20mins brisk walking every day!. Oh, and learn to love yourself for who you are, not what you could be!. You want to reduce your weight- seriously!? Then do not starve yourself!. A large proportion of your body weight is in fact water--(surprise-surprise!?)!. So you could put on weight by your proposal!. Your first objective is- to change your attitude towards food!. Then replace any animal fats with olive oil, - for breakfast have either fruit and water, or toast with olive oil and garlic!. Use fruit juice instead of alcohol, and rarely have any red meat!. Eat plenty of fresh fruit, and a wide variety of vegetables with fried onions!. Change over from white bread which contains so much water and air, to a black bread- some of best is German!. Use a pressure cooker for chicken while cutting out most fried foods ( exception is onion)!. And drink plenty of water- preferably from the mountains!. Understand that fruit passes through in some 20 to 30 minutes, but red meat takes anything from 8 to 18 hours!. And most alcohol is a poison to your system!. After a few hours without food, your body goes into starvation mode and saves every last calorie you consume and turns it into fat!. Well I can assure you, you will lose weight, but I can also assure you that that is not the healthy way or the smart way to do it!. My mom finally got fed up with her body, after about 30 years of being overweight, she wanted to lose weight, and she started to starve herself, I make her eat now, but she did lose a lot of weight!. Not eating is the worst way to lose weight!.
When you starve your body, it responds by storing fat, and burning less!. therefore you lose less weight than eating healthy!.

This is why breakfast is the most important meal in a diet!.

Diet isn't about following a plan, and buying into the industry!.

your metabolism will simply slow down to compensate for the lack of calories!.!. you may actually end up gaining weight through doing something like that!.!.
you might also find your skin, hair and nails visibly suffer!.!. you will also have no energy!. You will put on weight actaully!. When you starve your body as soon as you put food into it again it will store it quickly in fear of you starving it again!! Dont do it!! Rather just cut out carbs, high protein and drink at least 2l water a day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
