Question: Help with food& weight loss!?
I've decided I'm cutting otu red meat and replacing it with chicken & fish, No crisps, instead rice crackers, n biscuits, instead fruit, no ready meals, i homecook all,,,,What else d oyu recomend!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

here is what my dietician suggests - follow a practical diet!. start your meal with a soup or a huge salad!. this fills u up!. Make sure your plate has this ratio - 50% veg, 25% carb, 25% protein!.this will prevent cravings too!.an occassional treat is OK!. have a snack every three hours!. fruit (ideally berries) or soy nuts!. just 2 tbsp of soya subsides hunger pangs!. switch from white rice and bread to brown!. eat 900gms of veggies a day!.Lose a kilo a week!. that is permanent loss!. pick an exercise regime you like!.
get a pedometer and take 10,000 steps everyday!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds good!. Although I think you could have a nice and lean steak once in a while if you want to!.
I love homemade chicken soup or vegetable soup!. They are not difficult to make and once everything is in the pot they practically cook themselves!.
Ricecrackers are ok but watch out that , if they are the flavoured kind, that they are not too high in sugar and salt!. I would switch them for cut up vegetable , like carrot sticks or cellery!.
If you miss having a cookie , and can pace yourself, you could have a biscuit once in a while!. You could bake them yourself and thus see that you only use good ingredients and control the amount of fat and sugar!. There are loads of recipes for low fat cookies online!. But of course fruit is the better option!.
You just have to make sure that you are not too harsh in what you allow yourself and what not, because you want to stick to your new eating plan for a long time and without feeling like you are punishing yourself!.
I also recommend that you eat a small meal or snack every three hours - that way you don't get too hungry and you won't eat too much once mealtime has arrived!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the amount of protien taken from any kind of mean dont contribute on weight loss!. you can eat any kind of meat as long as the fat content is low or you can boil the meat to remove the oil or fat that contributes to weight!. avoid eating too much calories and foods with high sugar content because excess calories will turn into sugar and be stored as a fat in your body!. best diet, be a vegetarian!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have a glass of water before eating, makes you feel fuller!. Also drink water instead of fruit juice or soda!. Have as many veggies as you can!.
