Is getting a bike a good idea?!


Question: Is getting a bike a good idea!?
i am on a diet and only lost 1!.5 stones since january i hardly excercise i'm always sat at my pc working but today i'm going to change i want to know would a bike be a good idea i need to get rid of my flabby baby belly and tone up my bum and reduce my thighs!. will bike riding benefit me if not what will i hate sit ups i will do them but prefer not to please advise my best options without going to the gym thanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

A bike is great, but I would start out with some ab exercises first!. Do crunches, not sit-ups!. Crunches are more effective and not as bad on your spine and neck!. I think they're easier too!. It's important to do exercises for the mid abdominal wall, the obliques, and the lower abs!. Walking and swimming are also both fantastic for getting in shape and losing weight!. Exercise before you eat, that way you are burning fat rather than what you just ate!. I would do that for a few month's before investing in a bike!. Try not to think of it so much in terms of what you can buy, or losing some weight, but rather as a lifestyle change!. People tend to set a goal of losing, say 20 pounds and then when they do, they slack off and go back to their old way of living!. Walking is a good intermediate step to take(no pun intended) before getting a bike!. Once you have set aside time for getting in shape, and it's an established routine (this usually takes six month's), then I'd reward myself with a bike!. Although with the price of gas nowadays, I could see getting one sooner!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If u have no inclination to go outdoors for a walk, u have no option but to buy the bike!.

Eat well but only when hungry and not more than thrice a day!. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%!. To have more satisfaction out of ur food, Chew each morsel at least 32 times!. This will also activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness!. Obey these signals!. Do not go on fast or starvation diet!.

Nothing other than water in between!.

No special diet, call it by any name or program helps as one cannot adopt them on permanent basis!. Diet pills are chemicals and per se bad and shud be avoided unless the doc considers it necessary looking at ur condition!.

Take light exercises and brisk walks for 30 min!.regularly preferably on empty stomach and twice a day!. Do not overdo!.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time and hassle free!.

Be patient and not in a hurry!.

U cannot choose spots for reduction!.

If you like bike riding, I think it's a good idea!. I know what you mean about hating sit ups or going to the gym!.!.!.it's boring!. I started taking trapeze classes a year ago, and that's the only way I'd work out!. You just have to find something you enjoy doing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Walking is better also try doing something that is fun so that you won't give up,also try to get like minded people to do it with you,not necessarily a slimming club,but a club pertaining to your chosen activity!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best all-round exercise you can do is swimming but, if you are not comfortable with this then cycling will be good for the legs but have little effect on your arms - to tone them you will needs to use some light weightsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Bike won't help your belly but your legs, heart and circulation system will love it!. Join a local club and ride with them!. You'll get to know all the roads in your area!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
