Question: How can a 13 year old lose a lot of weight in about 2 months!?
Im 13 years old, and i am about to go onto High School!. I am very over weight, i didn't mind in middle school, but now that I'm going to high school, i care A LOT! Please help me, and try not to make fun of me!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

In a word: unhealthily!. First of all, even if you're overweight you're at an age where dieting isn't recommended so even if you do want to lose weight you have to be very careful about it!. Preferably ask a parent to get you an appointment with a nutritional therapist that can help you with building a healthy diet!. A dieting program that will be okay for an adult WON'T be good for you since you're still growing at your age!. Also in two months you can only lose so much FAT!. You can drop weight but it's going to be mostly water and muscle mass which you DON'T want to lose since if you do it'll be easier to put the weight back on since muscle burns more calories than fatty tissue!. Also you need to make sure your diet is sensible enough to become a habit!. You don't want to put the weight back on once it's gone, besides yo-yoing is more unhealthy than being steadily overweight!. You might also want to pay attention to exercise to help you keep that muscle mass and aid in weight loss!. However you should also know that dieting is more efficient if you want to lose weight than exercise!. I suggest you tell your mom for example that you would like to lose weight and ask for her to support you (by making sure you eat right and go for walks etc)!. In two months you have enough time to establish a healthy diet and exercise routines even if not lose a whole lot of weight (in a healthy way)!. Eat a balanced diet at about 1000-1200 calories a day (quality ones, no empty ones) and NO refined sugar (in the first 4 ingredients) or flour for 6 weeks, then only whole-wheat non-enriched flour and less than 10 grams of fat per day for another 6 weeks!. Drink plenty of water and try to exercise 3 times a week, but don't overdo it and don't do it two days in a row!. Take good care of yourself and don't rush it!. You want this to be quality weight loss, not temporary weight loss!.

I understand that you're experiencing problems because of your weight!. If you lose weight, loose it a little at a time!. Losing weight at a healthy rate is going to take longer than two months!. Plus, if you lose a lot of weight in a short span of time, there's a higher risk that you will gain the weight back and maybe even more at a short period of time as well!. My brother is a little older than you and he started at your age!. He is always outside and doing something active like playing football with his friends!.!.he even rides his bike to his friend's house!. Over the past two years, he looks great! Cut back on your dairy and meat, it is too hard for you body to digest, so it never has the time to burn calories because it is too busy digesting dairy and meat!.
It is really easy, example:
If you were going to eat a burrito ask for it without the meat!.
