Cardio timing? Not sure which is more effective?!
Question: Cardio timing!? Not sure which is more effective!?
I usually use my stationary bike daily for 45 min as a cardio workout!. In the past I biked for 45 min straight, either when I wake up or at night when I come home from work!. Recently however, I began trying to do 25 min in the morning or afternoon and then another 25 at night because it puts less strain on my legs (I'm often on my feet all day at work)!. Which method is more effective, splitting it up or doing it all at once!? I also so a small ab workout on top of this routine as well!. I'm 18 years old, female and weigh about 125 lbs and am 5'3, if that helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it depends on the intensity of the workout and also your intention - are you trying to burn fat or are you trying to build up cardiovascular endurance!?
if you are trying to burn fat then either one will be effective so long as your heart rate is above 60% of its maximum and you work relatively hard!.
If you are trying to build up endurance then one solid session is important and so is intensity - the training threshold for endurance is higher than that of burning fat so the heart needs to work for longer!.
However personally i think it would be more effective to do the 45 minute session as it gives the heart more time to supply the muscles and allow your body to reach a comfortable state whilst exercising!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
