me and my friend are having a contest he's going to do a pound of sugar and im going to do a pound of salt, the winner gets 1000 bucks!. Do i have chace of winning!.

You could die from several different things after eating that much salt!. Severe dehydration, complete electrolyte imbalance, ar malignant hypertension!. You will certainly have dangerously high blood pressure, and could also have a stroke or heart attack!. If it doesn't kill you too quickly you should get yourself to a hospital right away to see if they can save you!. One pound of salt!. If you eat that, you deserve the $1000!. If you can keep it down, you will notice that you will feel mighty dry, and thirsty!. If I were you, see if you can score some lasix (furosemide) to take while you're eating the salt, because at least then your kidneys will take the salt right back off your bloodstream, and it won't be floating around in there raising your blood pressure amonst other things that it will do to you!.
If you are betting, you should make it a pound of sugar and a pound of salt for BOTH of you!.!.!.then it would be a fair wager!.

Others have mentioned strokes or heart attacks, and if you're young and somewhat healthy, I imagine you wouldn't have a stroke, but sodium is an essential electrolyte that helps to regulate your heart rhythm, and if you do eat a pound of salt, and flood your bloodstream with it, you could run the risk of a heart rhythm change if the excess sodium stays in your system too long, and that is why I recomended the Lasix!. It was a serious answer to your question!.
