Question: Can I lift weights yet!?
I am 12!. I play football and basketball and I am very active!. It is almost football season so I want to start lifting weights!. I heard you should wait till you are 13!. But I am differnt than most 12 year olds!. I am already in puberty I have pit hair my voice is changing I'm tall!. I weigh 150!. So do you think I should lift weights or should I wait until I am 13!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think you are ok to lift weights!. most people say to wait till you 13 becouse thats when you have the testosterone(puberty) that your muscles need to repair themselves!. if you already have armpit hair your good to go!. BE SURE to eat lots of protein and amino acids, lifting weights wont do anything if your muscles dont have protein and amino acids to build from!. I recomend a protein shake before and after your workout!. another thing is to make sure give your muscles a few days rest before hitting them again!. you can lift everyday, just not the same muscles!. you will be swoll in no time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
